I am a closet book nerd. I love any and every book especially a moving true story. I am now 

re-reading the Columbine story for the fourth time and I cry every time I read it. It is one of the most moving books I have ever read and it almost puts you into the day Columbine took place. I recommend that everyone read it.

Collab with Memphis Made

Hello Everyone! Today i'm doing a collab with Victoria of Memphis Made. We teamed up to show ya'll how we style our J.Crew vests. 

I love my tan J.Crew excursion vest that I scored for just $45 last spring. (J.Crew's vests are almost always on sale, so if you don't like the retail price, just hang on for a little bit!) 

I just recently started pairing my vests with skirts and I love the way it looks! 

Currently my Dooney crossbody is my favorite bag right now. The navy leather goes with everything and it has just the right amount of storage.

This J.Crew Factory flannel has been on repeat since christmas, it's so super soft and comfy! 

I bought this J.Crew paper bag skirt last year, but i'm only just now starting to style it, but it's basically the perfect fall/winter/spring... oh heck it's the perfect year round skirt! It's navy so it matches everything, but i'm thinking about going back & purchasing it in every color!

Gossip Girl Linkup

I'm so excited to be participating in Carrie on Blogs, the Monogrammed Midwesterner, and Behind Her Monogrammed Macbook's Linkup. 

I discovered this linkup through Tumblr and immediately began thinking about my outfit, as I am obsessed with anything Gossip Girl related. 

I decided to channel my inner Blair Waldorf with this country club-esque outfit. Of course I added the signature BW headband!

My KJP bracelet is one of my very favorite things to style, it has so many different colors that it goes with anything!

This madewell sweater is perfection! I worked that Upper East Side look by tying it over my shoulders instead of doing an oxford/sweater layer. 

My Future First Lady elephant earrings are as much as a staple as my pearls!

I am in LOVE with my Lilly Pulitzer sunglasses. If you can't see, the arms are pink gingham!

My favorite Gossip Girl moment is definitely when Chuck and Blair get married! Her dress is one of my absolute favorites and it's way outside of the box for a wedding dress, which is so typical Blair!

I am in love with Mindy Kaling's new book "Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me?" It is such a good book & I would recommend it to everyone! 

I am head over-heels in love with Sarah KJP's plaid bean boots. I can't find them anywhere, so if anyone has a pair, or know where I can find them, please let me know!!!

I have just recently started watching Parks and Recreation on netflix. This is one of the funniest shows that I have ever watched!

Collab with apocketfullofprep

Today I teamed up with Faith from apocketfullofprep to do a sweater collab. 

I styled my J.Crew cable knit sweater with a pink striped button down, with jeans and my sperrys.

Organization is not my strong suit! Although keeping the shelving in my room clean is the one thing I'm able to do. I enjoy having this little accent that adds color & style to my room.

I love my monogrammed magnet board ( yes those are lilly Pulitzer magnets!) I display my VV whale hats all over my room & this is just one place I put one. I keep my golf trophies & awards here too. I like having the space to display them, especially my LPGA signed visor. Does anyone else hold on to all of their shopping bags? I got that Lilly Pulitzer frame for my birthday one year & I just put a VV sticker on the white sheet inside it. 

I love my inspiration board! I cut clippings from magazines & postcards. I love being able to have some of the things I love in one place. 

My side table is has some of my favorite things! My DIY state photo & my tulips help pull things together!

I was so excited when I found out that Alexa from Northeastern & Preppy  nominated me for this! It's so great to know that you guys enjoy reading my blog, and following in on my life! 

The idea of the Liebster Award is that in order to claim the award, you have to answer the 11 questions given to you by the person who nominated you, and then you have to nominate 10 more fellow bloggers with under 200 followers! The goals is to allow new blogs to be noticed and have the chance to gain more readers, which I think is amazing! 

So lets get started, 

1. How did you decide on the title of your blog?

There isn't really a story behind my name, but as some of my long time readers may know that I used to be pinchofpreppy, but someone else made a blog with a very similar name so changed it. I was kind of inspired by Carly the College Prepster so I just sort of went with that! 

2. What made you decide to start your blog?

Last year I was really sick and in the hospital for a while, so sharing my clothing and outfits became something fun I could do with my free time! I have also always been a blog addict and so I thought "how hard could it be!" 

3. What is your favorite piece of clothing that you own?

My favorite piece of clothing right now would definitely have to be my J.Crew herringbone vest, I love it so so much and I wear it almost every day!

4. Where is your favorite place to shop?

My favorite place to shop would have to be J.Crew Factory, they have great clothes at great prices. And they just have better items than retail J.Crew!

5. If you could travel anywhere in the world where would it be & why?

I would go to Paris. I've been dying to taste a real Laduree macaron and theres just so much that I want to see (and shop for) there!

6. What's your favorite midnight snack?

My midnight snack has always been tea. I know it's not really a snack, but tea helps wind down and go to sleep. 

7. Where do you see yourself 5 years from now?

I five years I would want to be at either UNC chapel hill or the University of Mississippi earning some kind of degree. 

8. What is your favorite song right now?

Like Real People Do by Hozier 

9. What is one piece of advice you would give other new bloggers?

I would just say keep posting about things you like and post frequently!

10. Where do you see your blog going in the next year?

Well, I hope to reach 1k on instagram this year and I hope that this blog allows me to connect with other business I could be a brand rep for. 

11. Where does your blog inspiration come from?

My inspiration can come from anywhere, if i'm shopping i'll say oh look that would make a good blog post. Or i'll see someone elses post and spin off of that. I also look at larger blogs like Classy Girls Wear Pearls by Sarah Vickers (who is my goal in life like wow) haha anyways, I love looking at other blogs and being able to share with ya'll!

Closet Tour

Hey ya'll! I figured since this was a fashion blog, I'd give you a peek at where my clothes sleep! 

I tend to keep my closet a little messy, I mean who doesn't shove stuff behind doors! But I cleaned it so you guys don't have to suffer through the mess.

I am a button down addict! I absolutely love them, I think I have at least 10 but there might be more hiding in my drawers! Button downs are a staple in my wardrobe because I love to layer, and you can wear them year round. 

                                     

Surprisingly I own more shorts than button downs! So get ready for some great springtime golf posts! I love to throw on a pair of Lilly shorts and tshirt its comfy cute and you can dress them up or down as much as you want. 

                                       

This is only a sample, the rest of my shorts & skirts are in the attic. I don't have an official count, but as far as I know I have at least twenty pair

This is an attempt to show my shoe collection.... I'm missing about 5 pairs of jacks... Wonder where they ran off too...If ya'll hadn't already noticed i'm a shoe addict as well. I love all of my clothes, and I can't wait to show ya'll more of my favorite outfits!
