Shep Shirt Stylin'

Today i'm doing a post with Kathleen from Lets Get Preppy. We both have incredibly  similar styles so it's no surprise that we both ended up wearing blue! See how she styled her adorable shep shirt on her blog today!

I absolutely adore my shep shirt that I got for christmas. It's seersucker, which is like my favorite pattern ever! It goes really well with almost every outfit and I can't wait to be able to style it with shorts and skirts for the summer! 

I love my sperrys that I got last summer. They're so classic and go with everything! 

This bow is my absolute favorite, I love the anchor monogram and it's the perfect size.

Oscar Favorites

 

So last night was the Oscars, my favorite awards show of the year! This is my top 5 outfits of the night!

It's basically my dream to walk down a red carpet in designer couture! I absolutely adore the different dresses, I can only dream of owning a dress that gorgeous (and fancy, where would I ever wear custom Versace?)

Fake it till ya make it

I LOVE calligraphy! But I unfortunately don't have the patience to sit down with a quill and learn how, so I modified it! 

I already have pretty good handwriting, so I figured I'd sharpen up my cursive skills (you have to write In cursive on the SATs anyways!) and work on some "calligraphy" 

So first I started by just writing out the saying or quote in my regular cursive hand...

Then I filled in the downstrokes (the part of the letter that goes down) 

And then you have "calligraphy" it's a pretty easy concept and I really enjoy using it to draw quotes and especially to impress my friends with some hand made birthday cards! 

I love how these turned out, and I would love to see if any of yall try it out, just tag me in your post so I can see!

Nordic in NC

Hey everyone!
So it FINALLY snowed here in NC and we are enjoying our two (going on three) snow days. Only North Carolina calls school when theres less than an inch on the ground!

I LOVE the snow! I especially love styling my outfits for the snow, although I won't complain when it's warm and 75 again!

As I type this blog post, it's beginning to snow again, so I am preparing to curl up with some netflix and hot chocolate!
